Speech by Me Carole Couson-Warlop on December 15, 2017

at the Lawyer's House on the topic :

The Personal Data Reform « RGPD Â»

Carole Couson-Warlop leads a training session on December 15, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Maison de l'avocat, in Nantes, devoted to the General Data Protection Regulations " RGPD".

This Regulation imposes many new obligations on data controllers, in particular the keeping of a processing register, the notification of security breaches to the CNIL and to the persons concerned, the appointment of a personal data protection officer "DPO ", or even the implementation of technical and organizational measures to prove that everything has been done to comply with the provisions of the GDPR.

As of May 25, the date of application of the Regulation, the CNIL may pronounce, in the event of a violation of the GDPR, fines, the amounts of which may now beup to EUR 20,000,000 or, in the case of a company, up to 4% of the total worldwide annual turnover of the previous financial year, whichever is higher.

The Regulation thus requires a global update of practices in the processing of personal data.

This training, dedicated to legal professionals, will be an opportunity to understand the new obligations imposed by the GDPR, the tools to be put in place in order to comply with them.
